Bowdoin College is delighted to announce that Ginny Ward will step into the role of Upward Bound/TRIO program director effective July 1. Ginny has been a steadfast leader in the Bowdoin UB program since 2000 and she is known as a TRIO champion in the region with her long-time work with the Maine and New England Educational Opportunity Associations executive committees. We’re so fortunate to have such strong leadership from within. I couldn’t be happier to have Ginny at the helm.

I'll be staying on as the associate director for a few more months we transition and hire a new staff member. This will be my 32nd summer with UB; stepping away is bittersweet. I couldn't have dreamed up a more fulfilling career or a more supportive community of professionals. I can’t thank my Maine TRIO colleagues enough for all of the good advice and great laughs that made this work so much richer.

We'll be posting the new, open Bowdoin UB/TRIO position in multiple venues. Please share this broadly with your networks and any folks you feel may be interested in carrying on TRIO's work in one of Maine's beautiful, remote regions - Washington County, Maine.

Thank you, NEOA, for all you do to support students, families, communities and one another!

Cheers,

Bridget
