As you may know, Stan Salett worked in the Kennedy and Johnson administration and is considered one of the architects of Upward Bound, one of the original three TRIO programs. Mr. Salett also received the 2013 NEOA Claiborne Pell Award; and was hosted by NEOA and MEOA, as part of the UB 50th Anniversary Celebration (2014) and An Evening with Stan Salett<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VG9S_p8Lo-0> in 2011. (Both events were at Boston University.) The work you do in TRIO, GEAR UP and several other educational opportunity had its genesis in the Civil Rights movement.
