Hello all,
I'm sure some of you know about NEACAC's Margaret Addis Memorial
Scholarship https://www.neacac.org/margaret-addis-memorial-scholar-program,
but if not please see the email below from Beverly Lipsy who is on the
scholarship committee. This is a great opportunity for you or someone in
your program/school to attend the NEACAC conference in May on scholarship.
Please feel free to share within your appropriate networks and while I'm
here let me also remind you of NEOA's Jerry Ellis Scholarship
https://www.neoaonline.org/jepd.php which also supports NEOA members in
attending professional development opportunities (that you may otherwise
not attend).
Thank you!
Lindsay

Subject: Seeking nominations for the 2024 Margaret Addis Memorial
Scholarship
To: lindsay.carpenter@lyndoninstitute.org
Dear Lindsay,
I wanted to be in touch because I am serving on the NEACAC Margaret Addis
Memorial Scholarship
https://www.neacac.org/margaret-addis-memorial-scholar-program committee
this year.
In short, the MAMS fund enables secondary school counselors from
underrepresented* areas to attend the NEACAC Annual Meeting & Conference.
*Underrepresented Areas are defined as rural or urban secondary schools,
EOP/TRIO programs and agencies and community/technical colleges in New
England.
To qualify, candidates should work in settings adversely impacted by budget
cuts or limitations, and as such, can not afford the cost of NEACAC
membership or attendance to the Annual Meeting & Conference.
I thought to share this opportunity with you given your work with Lyndon
Institute Upward Bound and some of the overlap with the MAMS mission and
that of UB.
Here

is
the nomination form. The MAMS committee wishes to expand the reach of the
scholarship and increase our nominee pool. Please consider nominating
yourself, a colleague or passing the form along to others in your network.
Don’t hesitate to be in touch if I can help answer any questions about the
association or the scholarship.
Kindly,
Beverly
