There was a total of 23 valid votes and the following increases were approved. Proposed Budget Changes: 1. Increase TRIO Day Entertainment line item: approved * From: $1,000 * To: $1,500 * Reason: the committee is currently gathering quotes for entertainment. Last year's expense for this line item was $1,500. Due to the rising costs of equipment and labor, Co-Chairs anticipate the need for increased budget in the event they receive a quote above $1,000. * Vote Results: * Yes: 20 * No: 0 * Abstain: 3 2. Increase TRIO Day Speaker Expense line item: approved * From: $1,000 * To: $1,500 * Reason: To cover quote for keynote speaker, Richard Haynes. The $1,500 fee reflects a significant discount as his standard speaking fee is $3,000.
