Dear NEOA Members,
As we reflect on the outcomes of the Presidential election, we recognize that our work is more essential than ever. In the face of potential changes and uncertainties, we know many of you are deeply concerned about the students and families you serve. Our work transcends any political shift, as Dr. Arnold Mitchem himself frequently reminds us: the political support we receive is strongly bipartisan.
NEOA's mission remains clear and firm: to support those who have been historically underserved with planning and implementing their quest to continue and complete post-secondary education. We want you to know that NEOA is committed to advocating for policies and resources needed to sustain and expand support for our programs and students. We are fully dedicated to advancing policies that protect and strengthen Educational Opportunity Programs (EOP), TRIO, and GEAR UP.
While the future may feel uncertain, we will forge ahead with resilience to protect and support every program in New England and beyond. We ask you to join us in our advocacy efforts. When called upon, get involved - attend Policy Seminar, bring your alumni, and make your voices heard.
Together as a strong and united organization with you as our members, we will continue to preserve and elevate the essential work we all do.
In service and solidarity,
